Private beta in progress

Helbreath

A free, fan-made mobile revival of the classic Helbreath online RPG.

Choose a city, build a warrior, mage or priest, and hunt, trade and fight alongside friends on a small private server — rebuilt for phones from the original art, maps, music and rules.

What it is

A classic world, rebuilt for your phone.

Helbreath Forever is an unofficial, fan-made mobile port of Helbreath, the 2D isometric online RPG. It reuses the original Aresden and Elvine maps, sprites and music, and rebuilds the game's movement, combat, magic and economy for touch screens — running on a private server you can share with friends.

Two warring cities

Begin in the traveler's town, then pledge to Aresden or Elvine. City, faction labels and appearance travel with your character.

Build a hero

Start from a Warrior, Mage or Priest template and spend the original starting points your way. Level up on the classic curve and assign three points per level.

The original magic

Ten circles of spells with authentic casting poses, effects and audio — fields, summons, status effects and Resurrection. Prepare, wait for Ready, then fire.

Monsters and loot

The original bestiary with species-specific movement, sounds and corpse poses, plus gold, potions, equipment and corpse-material drops you can pick up and keep.

Bag and equipment

An inventory and equipment panel built from the original item sprites, with weapons, armour, shields and accessory slots, plus durability and repair.

Play with friends

Private-server multiplayer with server-resolved melee and faction PvP. See nearby players, group up, and return to a world that remembers where you left off.

Made for touch

An eight-direction joystick, tap-to-target attacks, running and walking, pinch-to-zoom and four customisable spell and item shortcuts.

The beta is a work in progress

Helbreath Forever is in private beta. You may run into bugs and unfinished features, and the server will be reset when the beta ends — all character progress, levels, items and gold will be wiped.

Questions

Frequently asked.

Is this the original Helbreath?

No. Helbreath Forever is an unofficial, fan-made project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the original rights holders. It is a free mobile revival made by fans, reusing original assets and rebuilding the game's rules.

Which platforms are supported?

Android is the current beta platform. An iOS build is planned; the client is built to target both, but iOS has not been released or tested on device yet.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no cost to play during the beta, and there are currently no ads or in-app purchases.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You can register with an email address and password, or sign in with Google or Apple. Your characters are attached to your verified account.

Will my progress be saved?

Your characters and items persist between sessions, but the whole server is wiped at the end of the beta. Treat everything you earn during the beta as temporary.

Is there player-versus-player combat?

Yes. Faction combat between Aresden and Elvine is supported, with a Safe attack toggle for ordinary allies. Unlawful kills carry the classic penalties.

How do I report a bug?

Use the Feedback / Report a bug button in the game, or email support@pibardos.llc. See Support for details.
